For the Tainos, Buhos are related to the origin of life, because they normally live in dark places; and for them, life itself was born in a cave named Cacibajagua. This decorative tile is fully handmade.

Playing ball was a common practice among the Tainos; the game, named "Batu", was played by two teams of up to 30 people, who had to keep the ball in the air using their shoulders, elbows or hips for as long as they could.  This decorative tile is fully handmade.

The Pestle or "Majador" was used to crush the ingredients for the Cohoba. Leaves, seeds and conch shells were mashed to produce a hallucinogenic powder, which after inhaled during the Cohoba Rite, allowed the Tainos to communicate with their Gods. This is a fully handmade work of art.
