For the Tainos, Buhos are related to the origin of life, because they normally live in dark places; and for them, life itself was born in a cave named Cacibajagua. This decorative tile is fully handmade.

The snail that lived inside a shell or Lambi was a big part of the Taino diet, the shell itself was also used as a musical instrument (the sound similar to a trumpet) and as material to make necklaces and pendants. This decorative tile is fully handmade.

Playing ball was a common practice among the Tainos; the game, named "Batu", was played by two teams of up to 30 people, who had to keep the ball in the air using their shoulders, elbows or hips for as long as they could.  This decorative tile is fully handmade.

Santo Alexis Sanchez collected these little pieces of green glass from the seashore in Santo Domingo. Most of them come from bottles of a famous Dominican beer; the time in recycling dictates the different tones of green.
